Ways you can raise you vibration daily; when you can't take a year off like Beyonce

Ways you can raise you vibration daily; when you can't take a year off like Beyonce

Hey squad,

As I’m sitting on my couch after a long day of mothering, yes it’s a verb, and having myself a margarita, I felt myself relaxing. And thought how one simple act can induce a momentary sense of relaxation. Being a mom of two and not yet having my own space, a conversation for another day takes a toll on me sometimes. But instead of thinking of the grand scheme of things, doing little acts of self-care and forward progression always make me feel better. I know you’ve heard people talk about vibration and how you need to raise your vibration. If you think of life in terms of energy this makes perfect sense. You want to internalize as much positive energy as possible. You do this by doing things that make you happy physically, mentally and spiritually.

I never knew how important it was to raise your vibration before I had kids. It’s also important when we talk about self-care to be mindfull of practices that can lead to toxic behavior. If for example you are drinking in access and it leads to you lashing out then this should serve as a red flag. you’ve gone from self-care to self-sabotage.

I read a recent article about Beyonce needing a whole year to dedicate to her mental health. I mean how amazing would that be! I mean dang I’ll take a whole weekend dedicated to mental health and I’m sure I’d come back home bright-eyed and bushy-tailed lol. I really loved the article because I feel like a lot of us women suffer from the superwoman syndrome. We can do it all, but doing it all often time leaves you drained. But we brush that aside and keep pushing. Pushing to the end of madness. But some of us don’t have the luxury of taking a whole year off.

As I’m writing this blog post, I’m nursing my 8-month-old daughter, getting my 4-year-old some snacks ready for the day, texting my husband and listening to him vent about work, thinking about what I’m going to make for dinner, probably mushroom lasagna and making sure I don’t forget to do a load of laundry today.

Since I can’t afford to do a whole year off, it’s the little things I do during the day that help me raise my vibrations.

  • Having an uninterrupted hot cup of tea/coffee just being present

  • Blasting music and doing my skincare routine

  • Grounding (contact with the Earth's surface electrons by walking barefoot outside) and soaking up the sun

  • Lighting my favorite candle and taking 5 deep breaths

  • Rubbing my head with CBD and doing a 5-10 minute meditation

  • Music and a quick 5-10 minute yoga flow

  • Cooking a quick healthy plant-based meal
