Welcome to the 12 days of christmas!

I did yall, after a very a failed attemp last year. I'm finally ready to participate in blogmas! You get a blog, you get a blog, everyone gets a blog! Lol can you tell I'm excited. For those that are unfamiliar yall are going to get 12 posts dedicated to the holidays starting December 1st leading up to Christmas. I was going to do 25 but sheesh, I couldn’t pull it off but 12 will do just fine. Yall are gonna get hopefully 12 days of new blogpost from me every other day in December until Christmas.

Its a great way to push myself creatively and its my favorite season so why not!

December is always a busy month for me because of not only the holidays but its my birthday, Capricorn gang! My husband's birthday and my daughter's birthday all in the same month. Yes my wallet hates this month but its still so special to me.

So lets jump right in. I'm gonna start off with some wellness herbs to stock up now that we are in the thick of flu season and covid is still running rampid out here in these streets. I use my herbs to make infusions and tinctures. These herbs are pretty easy to find. Some you can get in local grocery stores. I would usually prefer online small shops that offer loose tea blends or dried herbs that I can mix myself. Or your local apothecary.

Elderberry. I take elderberry either syrup or tea almost daily. Elderberry are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that may boost your immune system. They could help tame inflammation, lessen stress, and help protect your heart, too. Elderberry can help prevent and ease cold and flu symptoms.

Echinacea. Like elderbery this another imune system powerhouse.

Mullein. I made an infusion specifically to repair my respitory system. Ive been having this dry cough and my chest has been feeling inflamed. Mullein can clear excessive mucus in the lungs and cleanse the respitory tract.

Peppermint can help wth a host of digestive issues. Including gas, bloating and mentrual cramps

Moringa. This herb helps fights against bacterial disease along with a host of other health benenifits.

Eucalyptus. Eucalyptus features in a range of preparations to relieve symptoms of the common cold, for example, cough lozenges and inhalants. Herbal remedies recommend using fresh leaves in a gargle to relieve a sore throat, sinusitis, and bronchitis. Also, eucalyptus oil vapor appears to act as a decongestant when inhaled. It is a popular home remedy for colds and bronchitis.

Garlic. garlic helps boost the immune system and reduces the severity and length of cold and flu symptoms.

Ginger shots. You can make these at home or I love the ones from drink solti

Zinc. Helps your immune system and metabolism function.

Remember along with taking herbs for immunity and wellness, drink plenty of water, get some good sleep, wash your hands often with natural hand soap and eat your plants.
